Offline sync launch — ready for sign-off

What ships: offline sync for every Fieldnotes notebook. Notes written without signal are kept on the device and merged, line by line, when the connection returns.

Who it is for: research leads whose teams work on site. They hear about it first in the app, then through a two-minute walkthrough page.

How we will know: 40% of weekly active teams sync a notebook offline within 30 days. If we are under 25% by day 14, we revisit the walkthrough before sending the admin email.

Things to try

  1. Switch between v1, v2 and v3 and watch the brief and its comments change.
  2. Choose Edit, change the heading or body, then Save to create a local v4.
  3. Add a comment, attach it to a section, then resolve it.
  4. Select a numbered pin on the page to jump to its comment.
  5. Reload the page: your changes are still here. Use Reset demo to start over.

What isn’t connected

  • No accounts, sign-in or team members.
  • No hosted links: the copied demo link opens the sample, not your edits.
  • No uploads of your own files.
  • No integrations, APIs or agent connections.
